Well, I do apologize for my long absence from blogging I moved off Orcas Island into a barn apartment in Arlington. It has been a great transition as it is quiet and I get to bird watch just like Orcas. Yet it has  been challenging to find work. However, I do have an interview at a local nursery which I am very excited about. It has been years since I worked retail nursery. I am just excited to relearn scientific names, plant requirements and the behind the scene workings of the nursery business.

On to the good stuff of this writing I recently attended the Northwest Flower and Garden Show. Every year there is a theme and this years was A Floral Symphony.  So all that participated, floral bouquets and display gardens designs incorporated a symphony twist. My mom and I went which was great fun.
Here is the website to check out the over all explanation of the NW flower show a map of the exhibits and classes offered. http://www.gardenshow.com/

While attending the show I took some pictures and I wish I had taken more. Well, I went to use my camera and it had a dead battery so I turned to my mom to use hers. It took both of us a while to figure out this new camrea not a thing you want to be dealing with on a day you need it. So, I didnt take that many due to the camera difficulties. Now without futher ado here are the pics.

These are pics of the landscape design as you entered the NW Flower and Garden Show
